01/04/2011: François, F8DVD, will be active as JW/F8DVD from Longyearbyen,
Spitsbergen Island (IOTA EU-026, WLOTA 0125), from 1-8 April 2011. Expect
him to be QRV on all HF bands. QSL via home call, bureau or direct. [NG3K]

02/04/2011: Four Dutch radio amateurs will be active from Freetown (Grid
Loc. IJ38), Sierra Leone, from 2-18 April 2011. Arie PA3A, Arie PA3AN, Ad
PA8AD and Bas PD0CAV plan to operate, hopefully as 9L5MS, on 160-10 metre
CW, SSB and RTTY, using three stations with amplifers and several beam and
vertical antennas. The team will provide support and raise funds for a Mercy
Ships Charity Project. QSL via PA3AWW, direct or bureau. An OQRS for direct

02/04/2011: Macclesfield & District Amateur Radio Society members Adrian
M0PAI, Alan G0JNJ, Keith G3VKF and Arthur 2E0CBI will be active on 2-7th of
April 2011 from the Isle of Arran (IOTA EU-123, IOSA CL01, SCOTIA CS14).
Most HF bands and modes will be used, more details on the club site to

02/04/2011: Ray, M1REK and Andy, M1LOL will be active as MM1REK/p and
MM1LOL/p from the Isle of Barra (IOTA EU-010, IOSA OH11, SCOTIA HI02, WLOTA
3126, WAB NF70, WW Loc. IO66GX) on 2-9 April 2011. Plans are to be QRV on
80-10 metres, using SSB and digital modes mainly PSK and RTTY. They also
hope to operate from Vatersay (IOSA OH07, SCOTIA HI01, WAB NL69, WW Loc.

02/04/2011: Hans SM6CVX, Derek G3KHZ, Luis CT1AGF, Mike G3JKX, Martyn G3UKV
and Stig (none ham) will be active from several island groups of Papua New
Guinea during the month of April 2011. Plans are to be QRV on 160-6m CW, SSB
and RTTY, using 4 active stations at all the times. Schedule: Feni Island
(IOTA OC-101, Grid Loc. QI65), Bismarck Archipelago, on 2-7th April, using
the callsign P29VCX. Nuguria Island (IOTA OC-257, Grid Loc. QI76),
Bougainville district, on 8-14th April, using the callsign P29NI. Green
Island (IOTA OC-231, Grid Loc. QI75), North Solomons, Papua New Guinea, on
15-18th April, using the P29VLR. Following this expedition Hans, SM6CVX,

04/04/2011: Retu, XU7MDY/OX3RZ/OH4MDY will once again be active from Phan
Thiet, South-East Vietnam (WW Loc. OK40BV) on 4-17 April 2011 as XV2RZ. QRV

06/04/2011: Oliver, F6ARC, will be active holiday style from the island of
Martinique (IOTA NA-107, DIFO FM-001, WLOTA 1041, WFF FFF-016) as FM/F6ARC

07/04/2011: Operators Enrique EA5EOR (Team Leader), Joan EA3GHZ, Jose
EA5DTV and Raul EA5KA will be active as EG5CI from the island of Columbrete

08/04/2011: Operators Friedrich DL4BBH, Helmut DL1BGC, Karl DJ4FO, Peter
DJ4RU, Henning DB5BZ and Ric DL2VFR will be active as DF0WFF from the island
of Langeness (IOTA EU-042, GIA N-19, WLOTA 1245), and the National Park and
Nature Reserve Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea (WFF DLFF-013, Grid Loc. JO44)
on 8-10th April 2011. QRV on HF/VHF/UHF using CW and SSB. QSL direct or
bureau to DL2VFR. []

08/04/2011: Rick, K6VVA, plans to be active as K6VVA/6 from St. George Reef
(NA-184, USi CA064S, WW Loc. CN71UT), Del Norty county, California, on 8-9
April 2011. This activity will also count for the St. George Lighthouse
(ARLHS USA 793, TWLHD WLH K-157, WLOTA 0077). He will operate CW and some
SSB on 40-15 metres. QSL via N6AWD. The operation is weather dependent,
because of the helicopter transportation involved. In case of bad weather,
only one more attempt can be made before the end of April. Should that
happen, the NA-184 activation trip will be rescheduled for November, when

30/04/2011: Ken, JA2LLK will be active from the Hotel Nikko Hanoi, Hanoi,
Vietnam, starting end of April 2011 as XV9LL. He will be active on HF Bands.

07/05/2011: Gus IK4RQJ, Sergio IZ4BBF, Luca IK3AES and Alex 9A8AMS (IZ4AMS)
will be active 7-15 May 2011 from Sveti Nikola (IOTA EU-110, ACIA IC-016,
IOCA CI-118, MIA MC-414, ARLHS CRO-164, CLH-153, WLOTA 3152, WW Loc. JN65TF)
as 9A/homecall and 9A8AMS. Alex, 9A8AMS, will focus on 160, 80 and 6 metres,

22/05/2011: Sho JA7HMZ (V63DX), Taka JA7AGO (V63GO) and Aki JA7ZP (V63ZP)
will be active from Pohnpei Island (IOTA OC-010, Grid Loc. QJ96), FSM, on
22-28 May 2011. They plan to be QRV on all HF bands and modes. QSL via their

28/05/2011: Zorro, JH1AJT, will once again activate the callsign A5 (that's
it!) from Thimphu, Bhutan (CQ Zone 22), during the CQWW WPX CW Contest

28/05/2011: Look for B7P to be active from Foshan city (WW Loc. OL63NA),
China (CQ Zone 24), during the CQWW WPX CW Contest (28-29 May), as a Multi-2

28/05/2011: Mike, KH6ND, will be active from the Radio Pupukea (KH6YY) QTH,
using the callsign KH7X, in the CQWW WPX CW Contest (28-29 May). Radio
Pupukea is located on the north shore of the island of Oahu (USi HI008S,
WLOTA 1227, Honolulu County, WW Loc. BL01XP), Hawaii (IOTA OC-019). Mike

28/05/2011: Valery R5GA (KM8W) will be active as TO8A for the CQWPX CW 2011
(28-29 May) as a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power entry from Ducos, island of
Martinique (IOTA NA-107, DIFO FM-001, WFF FFF-016, WLOTA 1041). Look for

28/05/2011: Bob N5ET (YN2ET), Kieth NM5G (YN2MG) and Eddy K5WQG (YN2ER)
will once again be active from Grenada, Nicaragua (CQ Zone 7), including a

19/06/2011: Yves, F6CTL, and his wife will be for their 5th trip in French
Polynesia with this timetable: Ua Pou (Marquises) 18-22 June 2011 (FO/M,
IOTA OC-027, DIFO FO-027); Ua Huka (Marquises) 22-26 June (FO/M, IOTA
OC-027, DIFO FO-026); Raiatea (Iles de la Société) June 27 to 29 (FO, IOTA
OC-067, DIFO FO-012, WLOTA 1977); Bora Bora (Iles de la Société) 30 June to
3 July (FO, IOTA OC-067, DIFO FO-003, WLOTA 0430); Rangiroa Atoll (Tuamotu
Archipelago) 3-7 July (FO, IOTA OC-066, DIFO FO-073, WLOTA 2404); Tahiti
(Iles de la Société) 7-10 July (FO, IOTA OC-046, DIFO FO-002, WLOTA 0885);

27/07/2011: A French and Belgian team will conduct an IOTA DXpedition to
the Glenan Archipelago (IOTA EU-094) between 27 July and 3 August 2011,
using the callsign TM1G. The team consists of French Ops: Didier F1LLV,
Didier F4ELJ, Jef F6CNM, Pierre F8DHM and Nicolas F8FKD along with Belgian
Ops: Robert ON4LRG, Luc ON4LUC, Nicolas ON4VK, Janny ON5PO, Paul ON6DP,
Pierre ON7PC and Eric ON7RN. During the IOTA Contest (30-31st July) they
will be on St. Nicolas Island (IOTA EU-094, DIFM AT-010, WFF FFF-200, WW
Loc. IN77XR). The FFF-200 is a NEW ONE reference for the French Fauna &
Flora Award. After the IOTA Contest, the team will split into two groups and
activate a few different reference awards such as DFCF, DIFM, ARLHS. While
one group continues to transmit from St. Nicolas Island, a second group will
move to three islands within the Glenan Archipelago: Bananec Island (EU-094,
DIFM AT-064, WW Loc. IN87AR); Cigogne Island (EU-094, DFCF 29-004, DIFM
AT-061, WW Loc. IN87AR); and Penfret Island (EU-094, DIFM AT059, DPLF
PB-038, ARLHS FRA-047, TWLHD WLH F-052, WLOTA 0321, WW Loc. IN87AR),

14/09/2011: Morten, LA9DFA, will be active from Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen
Island (IOTA EU-026, WLOTA 0125, WW Loc. JQ78TF), from 14-19 September 2011.
QRV on the HF bands, mostly CW but some RTTY and SSB as well. Will work
50MHz if conditions allow (not likely!). Morten will also participate in the
Scandinavian Activity CW Contest (17-18 September), using the callsign JW3C.
QSL both callsigns via LA9DFA, direct or bureau and LoTW. QSL can also be

29/10/2011: Operators Jussi-Pekka OH6RX, Salva EA5DY, Jose EA5DFV, Pekka
EA8AH, Manuel EA8ZS and Juanillo EA8CAC will be active as EB8AH in the CQWW
SSB Contest (29-30 October) from Santa Maria de Guia, Las Palmas Gran
Canaria (IOTA AF-004, DIE S-005, WFF EAFF-078, WLOTA 0969, CQ Zone 33). QSL

The International Short Wave League is celebrating it's 65th Anniversary in
2011, so look out for GB65ISWL being QRV from several locations
throughout the year.

01/04/2011: The FC Viktoria Plzen was founded in 1911. The actual leader of
the "Czech Premier League" is celebrating his 100th birthday with his fans
with radio license. The special event station OL2011VP will be QRV during
the entire months of April and July. OL100VP will be active in May and
August and last not least the station OL1911VP will be QRV during the month

28/03/2011: P29ZL - PAPUA NEW GUINEA -
Tim, KD5SSF, will be active from Ukarumpa, Eastern Highlands Province,
Kainantu District, Papua New Guinea (IOTA OC-034, WLOTA 0084) as P29ZL. Tim
is an American volunteering for a couple years in Papua New Guinea as an
electronics technician with a translation and literacy organization (Summer
Institute of Linguistics - SIL). He is just getting my station set up. He
works Monday through Friday, so his Amateur Radio activity will be
restricted to evenings and Saturday/Sunday. Tim will be running 100 Watts
into inverted 'V' antennas. Look for him mainly on PSK31 and SSB. QSL direct

Algarve STAR DX Team will be on air with CR6A callsign from "The Submerged
in the sea near Olhao city in south of Portugal inside the CTFF-07 Natural

The Cantareira DX Group ( are in the planning
stages of a Dxpedition to Trindade island, SA-010 for later this year. PP0T
will be the callsign, with more details to follow. Trindade is #53 on the
