04/03/2011:  Rick, NE8Z, will be active from Canoa, Manabi Province,
Ecuador, on 4-8th March 2011. QRV on 40-10 meters using CW and SSB. metres

vertical and Carolina Windom Mini antenna. Rick states that he will be able

05/03/2011:  Ash, KF5EYY, will once again activate the 3V8SS club station in

Cambodia, on 5-15th March 2011. If circumstances allow, he will also be

06/03/2011:  Gert, ZS6AYU will be active from various locations in Namibia

06/03/2011:  Pete, VE3IKV, will use the special callsign VX3X/W4 from Key
West (IOTA NA-062, USi FL040S, Monroe County), Florida, on 6-18th of March
2011. Primarily CW (some SSB) on 17m, 12m, and 10m. He will look for EU
around 1200z and JAs/Asia around 2100z. Note: VX3X is a special event
callsign to celebrate the 250th World Anniversary of the Veterinary

07/03/2011:  Randy N0TG, Ron AA4VK and Wayne, K8LEE have set tentative dates
for their next try to activate Sable Island (IOTA NA-063, CIsA NS-004, WLOTA
0758, WFF CYFF-001, Grid Loc. FN93). They plan to be QRV 160-2 metres as

07/03/2011:  Seth, SM0XBI, will once again be active from the island of
Dominica (IOTA NA-101) as J79XBI from 7-17th March 2011. Plans are to be QRV

07/03/2011:  John, 9M6XRO is planning a short operation as ZL/GD3OOK from
Waiheke Island (IOTA OC-201) on 7-11th of March 2011. QRV on the HF bands

08/03/2011:  Bob, G3PJT, will be active as J6/G3PJT from the north east of
St. Lucia (IOTA NA-108, WLOTA 1336) on 8-15th March 2011, including a entry
in the BERU Commonwealth Contest (12-13 March). Outside the contest he will
be QRV holiday style on all bands, with focus on the low bands, using a K3

08/03/2011:  Tim, WD9DZV, will be active from the island of Aruba (IOTA
SA-036, WLOTA 0033) as P40D on 8-13th of March 2011. QRV holiday style on

08/03/2011:  Once again Bob, W4OWY (V25WY) and Mark, W9OP (V25OP) will be on
the air from the island of Antigua (IOTA NA-100, WLOTA 1118). Operation will
start on the 8th of March and end on the 18 of March 2011. QSL via home

08/03/2011:  Hiroo, JA2EZD, will be active as XU7SSB from Sihanoukville,
Cambodia, between 8-15th March 2011. He is expected to team up with
Nob/XU7FMZ and XU7NPC. Activity will probably be on all HF bands. QSL via

09/03/2011:  Peter, EI7CC, will once again be QRV as 7P8PB from Maseru,
Lesotho, during the period of 9th-23rd March, 2011. The visit is mainly a
family holiday but he will be active when circumstances permit. Peter will
be operating from the station of his brother-in-law 7P8CC (home call EI8CC).

09/03/2011:  Jean-Pierre, F6ITD, will be active as FG/F6ITD from the island
of La Desirade (IOTA NA-102, DIFO FG-004, WLOTA 1121) on 9-16th March 2011
and from Basse-Terre (NA-102, DIFO FG-019) on 16-31 March. He will be active

10/03/2011:  Rosel, DL3KWR and Hardy, DL3KWF will be active as CT9/DL3KWR
and CT9/DL3KWF from Ilha da Madeira (IOTA AF-004, DIP MA-001, PIP MD-001,
DPRN FF-101, WFF CTFF-030) between 10th March and 6th April 2011. They plan
to operate mostly CW and on 12, 17 and 30 metres. Hardy will also give RTTY

active from the Signal Point contest station on the island of Curacao (IOTA

10/03/2011:  Jeff, K5MV will be active as V4/homecall from the island of St.
Kitts (IOTA NA-104, Grid Loc. FK87) from 10-17 March 2011. Vacation style
operating, 160 through 6 metres, SSB and CW. QSL direct only to K5MV. Logs

10/03/2011:  Craig, VK4LDX, will be active as homecall/p from Horn Island
(IOTA OC-138) in the Torres Strait Islands, on 10-14th of March 2011. He
plans to operate 18 hours per day. Craig will arrive on the island in the
morning and will be QRV as VK4LDX/P from around 0800 UTC on the 10th using a
40m dipole, Butternut HF9V vertical and Spiderbeam 10-15-20 tribander.
Operation will be on SSB, PSK31 and RTTY (I don't do CW) on 10, 15, 20 and
40m. This IOTA has only been claimed by 19.5% of participants, it was last
activated in 2007 for 2 days and prior to that for two days in 2002. QSL via

11/03/2011:  Frosty, K5LBU (7P8CF), and Wayne, W5KDJ (7P8KDJ), will be
active from the Trading Post Lodge in Roma, Lesotho, on 11-20 March 2011.
QRV on 160-10 metres using CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK. They plan to have 2 full
time stations on the air for the entire period using a Tennadyne T6 at about
40 feet, a R7 vertical along with a Tennadyne TD-160 which is a folded

11/03/2011:  Take, JI3DST will be active as JI3DST/JI6 from Kuchino-shima, a
volcanic island located in the Tokara Islands (IOTA AS-049, Kyushu Region,
Kagoshima District, Kagoshima Prefecture), part of the Ryukyu Islands, on
11-20th March 2011. He plans to operate SSB, CW, RTTY and PSK31 from two
different locations on the island. Indicatively, between 2300 and 0600 UTC
he will be QRV on 40-6 metres with an emphasis on 20, 17 and 15 metres;
between 0800 and 2200 UTC he will add 160 and 80 metres. QSL via home call,

11/03/2011:  Peter, G3PHO, will be active holiday style as VP2V/G3PHO from
the Beef Island (IOTA NA-023, WW Loc. FK78RK), British Virgin Islands, on
11-18 March 2011. Beef Island is connected to the island of Tortola by the
Queen Elizabeth Bridge. This is a lightweight expedition... 100W and simple
wire antennas, for his holiday and the Commonwealth Contest weekend (12-13
March). Operating hours outside the Contest will be limited. Peter will be
mainly be on CW 80-10m + 160m if he can find space for an antenna! QSL

05/03/2011:  The 90 Speke Squadron ATC Radio Club are holding a radio day
from Hale Village, Nr. Liverpool, England (IOTA-005, WLOTA 1841) in support
of Marie Curie Cancer Research on 5 March 2011 using the special event
callsign GB0MAC and the club callsign MX0NAC. They intend to operate on the
HF and VHF bands and will be using SSB and PSK modes from 10am to 10pm. QSL

05/03/2011:  Special stations II0IDP from Cagliari (EU-024, QSL via IS0IGV)
and II0ICH from La Maddalena (IOTA EU-041, IIA OT-008, MIA MIS-013, WLOTA

Italian Navy - will be active on 5-20th March 2011 for the 5th Italian Navy

11/03/2011:  National Science & Engineering Week will take place between 11
and 20 March 2011. As part of this event, Sheffield Amateur Radio Club is
providing hands-on experience of amateur radio at a local school as well as
to the community at large. On Saturday 12 March between 10am and 4pm the
Club will be at Tapton School. They plan to install two temporary radio
stations and aerials and put the school on the air for the day using the
club callsign GX3RCM/P. They will be working alongside the Sheffield
Astronomical Society who have held an annual exhibition and demonstration at

11/03/2011:  The Radio Club of the Council of Europe will be active on all
bands and modes on 11th to 13th and on the 18th of March 2011 with the call
TP50CE for the 50th Anniversary of the European Social Charter. QSL via

The Radio Club of the Council of Europe will be active on all bands and mode
11th to 13th and 18th of March 2011 with the call TP50CE for the 50th
Anniversary of the European Social Charter.
