07/01/2012: Members of the NN6NN RTTY Team will be activating PJ2N from the PJ2T Super Station on Curacao Island (SA-099, WLOTA 0942) during the 2012 ARRL RTTY Round-Up (7-8 January). Ron (N6EE) and Chet (W6XK) will be entering the Multi-Operator High Power category, where they currently hold the world record as VP5NN from 2003. Ron and Chet plan to operate digital modes before and after the contest as PJ2/N6EE and PJ2/W6XK. QSL via LoTW or direct to NN6NN. [Southgate ARC]
07/01/2012: Three members of the Victorian Scout Radio & Electronics Service Unit will be again hiking the French Island (OC-136) National Park southeast of Melbourne (WW Loc. QF21PP) to operate the scout callsign VK3SAT for the Keith Roget Memorial National Parks Award. Peter VK3ZPF, Matt VK2ADF and Kevin VK3KAB will be active from Fairhaven camping ground on 7 and 8 January 2012. The bands proposed are 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m and 10m using wire antennas. The team will carry most of the gear in backpacks and will be joined by three or four others who will be kayaking across from Stony Point. With additional batteries coming across by kayak VK3SAT hopes to make many contacts and will be QRV Saturday afternoon and evening and Sunday morning. QSL via VK3SAA. [425 DX News]

12/01/2012: Pista, HA5AO and George, HA5UK will be active from 3D2/F, T2, T30 and possible from T33 between 12 January and 23 February 2012. Activity will start on 12 January from the Tuvalu Islands (IOTA OC-015) as T2HA, followed by Fiji (IOTA OC-016, WLOTA 0055) as 3D2HA on 27 January. On the 31st they will leave for Tarawa, Gilbert Islands (IOTA OC-017), where they will be active as T30HA until 23 February. Hopefully they will be able to go and operate from Banaba Island (IOTA OC-018) as T33HA for 7-10 days between 2-23 February. 12/01/2012: Sergiy, UV5EVJ (ex-5X1VJ), reports that he will be active from Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of Congo, between 12 January and 9 May, 2012. 12/01/2012: Once again the Provins ARC F6KOP team will activate another location, and this time it will be from the Kontiki beach hotel, island of Bonaire (IOTA SA-006, WFF PAFF-024, WLOTA 1279) as PJ4C. Activity is schedule for 12-23 January 2012 with 24 operators and six stations on 160-10 metres. Their goal will be 80,000 QSOs in 11 days, and maybe get the rtty world record back home. As usual they will operate 3 modes SSB, CW and RTTY with as least 6 stations, 24 ops, and 24h/day. 12/01/2012: A group of JA operators plan to be active from the Sakal Bungalows (WW Loc. OK10SP01ex), Sihanoukville, Cambodia, from 14-22 January 2012. Operators are Masumi JA3AVO (XU7AVO), Takeo JA3BZO (XU7AEN), Kunio JA1CJA/JH3LSS (XU7CJA), Tsuguya JA3UJR (XU7UJR), Shozo JA3HJI (XU7HJI pending) and Tatsuo JA3ARJ (XU7ARJ pending). 17/01/2012: From 17 January to 2 February 2012, a team of six operators will be active from Kiritimati [Christmas Island] (OC-024, WW Loc. BJ12HA) in Eastern Kiribati. Each team member will operate with their own callsigns, with activity on 160m to 6m CW and SSB. T32WW and T32CO will also operate both RTTY and PSK. The group will put in a full Multi-Op effort for the CQWW 160m CW Contest (27-29 January) as T32XX (QSL via KB8TXZ). 01/02/2012: Special event station 8J1YMS will be active between 1 February and 31 March 2012 to celebrate the opening of the new Yoshikawa Minami Station, constructed by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) on the Musashino Line in Yoshikawa (JCC 1343), Saitama prefecture, Kanto region, island of Honshu (AS-007, WLOTA 2376), Japan. 21/03/2012: A large group of operators from DARC Ortsverband will be active as DA0HEL from the island of Helgoland (EU-127, GIA-N14, WLOTA 0518, WW Loc. JO34WE, DOK E20) from 21-28 March 2012. They will also activate Dune Island [aka Helgoland Duene] (EU-127, GIA-N-15, WLOTA 2130, WW Loc. JO34XE, DOK E20) for 2 to 3 days during this time frame. Expect activity on all HF bands and modes. 24/03/2011: Bill, VE6BF, of Beaumont, Alberta, Canada, has been authorized to use the special callsign VC6Z from 24 March until 27 May 2012. The use of this special call will be for the CQWW WPX SSB (24-25 March) and the CQWW WPX CW Contests (26-27 May). QSL via VE6BF. [RAC]
28/03/2012: A team consisting of Jan DJ8NK, Uwe DJ9HX, Werner DJ9KH, Hawa DK9KX, Hans DL6JGN, Ron PA3EWP and Leszek SP3DOI plan to be active from Manihiki Atoll (OC-014, Grid Loc. AH99), North Cook Islands, between 28th March until 10th April, 2012. Signing E51M they will be QRV on 160 to 6m, CW/SSB/RTTY. All equipment, except transceivers, is already on Manihiki. In total, E51M will have eleven vertical antennas and a small 4 El. beam for 6m. Five stations, K3's with 500W amplifiers will be in use. The forecast does not show any improvement. In the meantime, equipment has been left with the local radio station (KYUK) whilst both Yuri and Tim return home. More to follow.. Activity is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Philippine Amateur Radio League (PARL), which was founded in 1962. QRV on all HF bands and modes. They will also be QRV from 6 metres to 1.2 GHz. In mid-December around 600Kg of equipment has left Europe to Bonaire, Peter PJ4NX will take care of it until our arrival. Jeff F6AOJ has repaired equipment damaged in TJ9PF last year, Mat F5PED has prepared the 30m 4sq, and Yann F1NGP has configured all the computer network. Thanks to all the F6KOP team everything has been prepared and packed on time. Eric ON7RN and Peter PJ4NX have organized everything with the shipper. We will use the following equipment: 5x FT 450 1x ICOM IC7200 & 7000 1x K3 6x ACOM 1010 1x 50 MHz PA 4x SPIDERBEAM 5 BANDS 1x SPIDER 3 BANDS 1x SPIDERBEAM WARC 1x 5ELEMENT 50 MHz I0JXX 1x VERTICAL 20m 1x FOUR SQUARE 30m 1x FOUR SQUARE 40m 2x VERTICALS 80 (CW and SSB) 1x VERTICAL 40m 1x L 160m BEVERAGES We have also in-band filters for 80 and 75m simultaneous operation. ZD8S - ASCENSION ISLAND - Resident ham Sted, ZD8S is now active mostly on 20m SSB. Having been off air for some time, Stedson now has a new antenna and desire to work lots of stations. He currently uses a TS-480 and 20m vertical dipole, built using parts from an old beam antenna, and has plans to build more antennas as time permits.
