- ANGOLA - Andrew, G7COD has been issued with the callsign D2AK and will
be operational nearly every day from the Ilhe Do Cabo, Luanda, the capital
of the Republic of Angola from the 7th May 2010 for the next 12 months,
while on a work assignment there. Expect transmissions to take place
throughout both day and night with no fixed times on 80 to 10 metres,
including WARC frequencies, using SSB and CW. Working conditions are
an Icom IC7000, 100 Watts output, MFJ 929 Auto Atu and Inverted Vee. SSB:
7.063 MHz, 14.190 MHz, 18.133 MHz, 21.253 MHz, 24.953MHz and 28.500 MHz.

13/05/2010: The
Modena DX Italy Team (www.modxit.it/) is organizing a new DXpedition
to Sveti Nikola Island (EU-110, ACIA IC-516, IOCA CI-118, MIA MC-414,
WLOTA 3152, WW Loc. JN65TF) on 13-17th May 2010. Operators and
callsigns will be Sergio 9A/IZ4BBF, Augusto 9A/IK4RQJ and Tony 9A/IK2SNG.
They plan to operate CW, SSB, PSK and RTTY on HF bands (WARC included)

13/05/2010:
Operators Curt/W3HQ and Don/VK2DON will be active as FK/W3HQ from
Ile Lifou (DIFO FK-012, WLOTA 0578), Loyalty Islands (IOTA OC-033),
between 13-16th May. Their activity will be on 40/30/20 metres using

13/05/2010:
Jan, DJ8NK and Paul, F6EXV will be active from the Central African
Republic on 13-26 May 2010. They will be guest operating as TL0A from
Christian's QTH (WW Loc. JJ95DS), and will concentrate on RTTY (Jan)
and CW (Paul) with two stations. Look for them on 40-6 metres, with
some possible activity on 80 and 160 metres (but it is "late in the season
for low bands, plus it is the rainy season in TL with daily storms",
Paul says). They are unlikely to have Internet access from the station

(AS-137, WW Loc. PL19AE), Xiangshan County in East China's Zhejiang
Province, from 14-16 May 2010 on CW and SSB, maybe some digits. BA4TB

14/05/2010: Rick, K8GI will
activate Middle Hooper Island (NA-140, USi MD016S, Dorchester
County), State of Maryland, from 2200z 14 May to 1600z 16 May 2010,

Algarve LH Activity 2010 - This time the Algarve STAR DX Team will be
active from all 6 Algarve Lighthouses on 15-16 May 2010. Six Teams
in Six Lighthouses with CQ72LH# callsigns at the same time. Jose
CT1EHX, Joao CT1FNT and Bruno CT5JRV will use the callsign CQ72LHA from
the Ponta do Altar Lighthouse (DFFA Fa-04, DFP FAL-04, PFFP FP-062, ARLHS

15/05/2010:

15/05/2010: Tomi, HA4DX will take part
in a sailing trip on the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of the Mediterranean
Sea off the western coast of Italy) with a yacht on 15-22 May 2010.
On the sea he will operate as HA4DX/mm. He will visit and operate
from the following islands: 15 May from Elba Island (EU-028, IIA
LI-001, MIA MI-022, WLOTA 0609) as IA5/HA4DX; 16 May from Capraia
Island (EU-028, IIA LI-020, MIA MI-013, WLOTA 0545) as IA5/HA4DX;

15/05/2010:
Operators Hans OH0/PA0VHA, Steve OH0/PA2A, Wim OH0/PA2AM, Teun

be active from Eckero Island, Aland Islands (EU-002), from 15-28th May

15/05/2010: Harry, PA1H and
Nico, PA7PA will once again be active as OZ/homecall from Lango
Island (EU-172, DIA FY-025, WW Loc. JO54IV), on 15-24th May 2010.
Activity will be on 80-10 metres, including WARC bands. They also
plan digi-modes on 30 metres. When propagation allows, they will also

15/05/2010:
Vlada OK1CW, Franta OK1DF, Zdenek OK1FIA, Slavek OK1TN, Honza OK2ZAW,
Zdeno OK2ZW and Pavel TA2ZAF (OK1MU) will be active as as TC07DX
from the island of Suluada (AS-115, WW Loc. KM56FF) on 15-19 May 2010.
They will operate CW, SSB and some RTTY using two stations on 160-6m.

15/05/2010:
Denis, ZL4DB is off to Macquarie Island (IOTA (AN-005, WAP AUS-08)
for 3 months, from middle to late May until the middle of August.
Denis will be primarily involved in pest eradication on the island.
There is a sizeable team of helicopter pilots and crew from NZ joining
the Aussie Antarctic Division and the Aussie equivalent of DOC. Denis
is not an experienced DXer but hopes to get to the Macca DX-shack every
now and then and make some SSB QSOs using the callsign VK0/ZL4DB. QSL

15/05/2010: Larry, W6NWS will be in Vietnam
from 15 May to 9 June 2010. He expects to be active as XV2W when time

The Ukrainian DXpeditioners Team (UDXT) members, namely Sergey UX0HX
(Team Leader), Oleg RK3FA, Alex UT5UY, Yuriy UT1HF, Oleg US7UX, Leo
UR3HR and Yuriy Grushevskiy SWL will be active on all bands, all
modes as: 5W0OX from Apia, Upolu Island (WLOTA LH-1944), Samoa (OC-097)
on 18-19th May 2010; T31UR and T31X from Kanton Island, Central Kiribati
(OC-043) between 22nd May and 1st June 2010; ZK3X from the Tokelau
Islands (OC-048) on 2-6th June 2010. The main mission of this DXpedition
is activating T31 Central Kiribati, Kanton Island, Phoenix Islands
Group. This DXCC entity is ranked #7 in EU and #19 in Worlds Most
Wanted List. The next goal is activating ZK3 Tokelau Islands, which is

20/05/2010: Operators Rolf
SM6IQD, Sten SM6MIS, Rick SM6U, Bengt SM6UQL, Chris SM6VAO, Magnus

from the island of Vinga (EU-043, WLOTA 1517), using the callsign

The Radio Club Ushuaia LU8XW is planning an expedition to the City
of Tolhuin, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the radio club.
LU8XW will be active in SSB, CW, PSK, RTTY and Satellites, from 0100
UTC 22 May until 0300 UTC 24 May 2010. All contacts on this expedition
are all contacts are valid for Radio Club Ushuaia Permanent Diploma.

22/05/2010:
Activation of Campbell Island (USi TX059, Parker County), State of
Texas, on 22 May 2010 using the callsign W5PC. This is a joint expedition
by the Amateur Radio Club of Parker County (W5PC) and the Tri-County
Amateur Radio Club of North Texas (WC5C). A commemorative QSL card
will be sent to each contact, paper QSL is requested. The group will
approach the island in their traditional fashion, by canoe and kayak.
Will attempt 14.250 plus or minus and 14.340 plus and minus are areas
to look for 20M, but will be equipped to work all HF bands. Sked requests
will be considered and attempted, QSY requests for contact via any
relay will be considered and attempted. Look for us on 7.250 during the
operation, and maybe around 3.950 later in the afternoon and evening.
Higher bands will be checked and attempted. PSK31 is possible, as

26/05/2010: A group of
members of the Bulgarian LZ Fauna Flora Club will be active 26-30 May
2010 as TC3WFF from the Kuscenneti National Park (WFF reference
TAFF-022), Balikesir Province, in the Marmara region in northwestern
Turkey. The team will also participate in the CQWW WPX CW Contest
(29-30 May) as a Multi-2 entry. Prior to the contest they will be QRV

23/07/2010:
Operators Jack W0UCE, Dan N3ND, Keith W4KAZ and Nate N4YDU will be
active 23-25 July 2010 as N4A from Core Banks (NA-067, USi NC033S,
WLOTA 0596, WW Loc. FM14UU, Pamlico county), North Carolina. They
hope to be QRV by 2000z on 23 July, and expect to attempt activity on
10m and 6m should those bands open. They will also participate in the RSGB

The Cascade Mountain Amateur Radio Society (WC7O) will operate
special event station W7W from within the Mount St. Helens National
Volcanic Monument on 15-16 May 2010, in memory of the radio amateurs

from Saturday morning June 5 until Sunday morning. We will operate CW
