19/02/2011: The North Cork Radio Group will be active using the callsign
EI1NC/p on 19th and 20th of February 2011 from the Blackrock Castle
Observatory (CASHOTA EI009/C, WCA EI-00055, WAI W77, IOTA EU-115, WLOTA
2484, WW Loc. IO51TV). Operations will be from 1000 to 1700 UTC both days.
The venue is a 16th century castle, located 4km from the heart of Cork city
on the banks of the river Lee. The Castle has seen many uses in its long

20/02/2011: Look for SP9YFF/p to be active on the 20th of February 2011
from the Swierklaniec Historic Landscape Park (WFF SPFF-595) and the Castle
Swierklaniec (ZWP GTG02, WCA SP-00510, PGA TG07, WW Loc. JO90LK). Activity
authorized land managers - Municipal Recreation Center Swierklaniec, and it
is possible with very good cooperation with the RadiocClub SP9YST. QRV on

21/02/2011: Alex, RN2FA (CN2FA), Dmitri, UA2FB (CN2FB) and Vlad, UA2FF
(CN2FF) will be active from Morocco (CQ Zone 33) on 21-28th of February
2011, including a Multi-Op entry in the CQ 160-Meter SSB Contest (25-27th
February). Outside the contest, look for them the be QRV on all HF bands and

21/02/2011: Lars, SM0CCM, will be active from the island of Dominica (IOTA
NA-101) between 21st February and 28th March 2011 as J73CCM. He will be
active on HF Bands, mostly CW. He will try to be active also from Carib
Indian Territory few days as J70SWD. On 14th March, Stig SM3PHM, will join
Lars in Dominica and will stay until the 28th of March when they will go
back to Sweden together. Stig will use the callsign J79M and try to favour

21/02/2011: Bill, W8EB, will be active as PJ7B from the island of Sint
Maarten (IOTA NA-105, WLOTA 0711) between 21st of February and 19th of March
2011, including a Single-Op/All-Band/Low-Power entry in the ARRL DX SSB
Contest (5-6th March). Outside the contest he will be QRV holiday style on

22/02/2011: Tip, N4SIA (KG4AS), and a group of operators plan to activate
Guantanamo Bay (IOTA NA-015, WLOTA 0358) as an all time new one on the 60
metre band between 22nd of February and 8th of March 2011. QSL direct to

22/02/2011: Klaus, DJ4SO, will be active as V5/DJ4SO from the farm home
southeast of Windhoek (same as last year) between 22nd February and 23rd

22/02/2011: John, 9M6XRO, and Steve, 9M6DXX will operate from Brunei (IOTA
OC-088, WLOTA 1628) for two days (22 February and 2 March 2011), while
travelling to and from Pulau Satang Besar (25-28th February). Callsigns are
yet to be confirmed, but may be V85/GD3OOK and V85/G4JVG or V85/9M6XRO and

22/02/2011: Jim, G3RTE and Phil, G3SWH will be QRV on all bands 80 to 10
metres as VK9C/G6AY from the Cocos Island Motel on West Island in the
Cocos-Keeling Islands (IOTA OC-003) between 22nd February and 5th March
2011. QRV on all bands 80-10 meters, CW only. There will be no 160, 6 metres
or EME activity. Propagation permitting, they plan to have two stations on
the air for as many hours every day as is possible. Their main objective is
to work as many European, North American and ROTW stations on as many
different bands as possible and plan to make at least 15,000 QSOs. QSL via

23/02/2011: Jan, DL7JAN, will be active from the island of Dominica (IOTA
NA-101). Activity is scheduled from 23rd February to 6th March 2011. Jan
will work from 40-10m (maybe 80m too!) in CW, SSB and RTTY. He will make a
special effort to Asia especially to JA. He applied for the callsign J79AN.

24/02/2011: Palos Verdes ARC members Ray N6HE, Jeff K6JW, Joe NZ6L and Bob
AB6SY will activate Santa Catalina Island (IOTA NA-066, USi CA016S, WLOTA
2912, Los Angeles County), California, on 24-27th February 2011, using the
club callsign K6PV. This will be a dedicated but simple operation. Two
radios with mostly dipole antennas. Try the usual IOTA frequencies. On 40m
SSB try around 7.260 MHz. For possible skeds, email N6HE at

24/02/2011: Willi, DJ7RJ, will once again be active as SV9/DJ7RJ from the
island of Crete (IOTA EU-015, GIOTA KRS-005, MIA MGC-005, WLOTA 1400, Grid
Loc. KM25) between 24th of February and 15th of March 2011. QRV on 160-6

25/02/2011: John, 9M6XRO, and Steve, 9M6DXX, will operate as 9M6XRO/8 (CW)
and 9M8Z/p (SSB) respectively from Pulau Satang Besar (IOTA OC-165), East
Malaysia, from 25th February until early UTC on 28th February 2011. They
will run two stations with linear amplifiers to a Hexbeam and verticals

South America Lighthouse Weekend (25-27th February 2011) from the Faro

01/05/2011: Camb-Hams members Bob G1SAA, Terry G3VFC, Martin G3ZAY, Colin
G4ERO, Colin G8TMV, Mark M0MJH, Rob M0VFC, Steve M1ACB and Gavin M1BXF will
be active on the 1-8th of May 2011 from the Isle of Arran (IOTA EU-123, IOSA
CL01, SCOTIA CS14). QTH will be a rented cottage on the west of the island
near Balliekine (WW Loc. IO75HO). As usual most HF bands will be activated
with SSB, data and some CW. VHF wise they will be on 6m and 4m SSB/data
(JT6m) and being a little more south than Harris they will again activate 2m
both SSB/data (FSK441). If they have time, they will also be active on 2m
and 70cm satellites. This year the CRG (Cambridgeshire Repeater Group) has a
new callsign G6PYE which they will use alongside the traditional G3PYE, as
the activation is in Scotland the prefix becomes GS for a club station in

8th ANTARCTIC ACTIVITY WEEK (AAW) -
The 8th Antarctic Activity Week (AAW) will take place from Feb 21-27, 2011.
Several special event stations will be activated and this is a good chance
to collect WAP reference numbers for the Worldwide Antarctic Program (WAP).

One special event station will be AO1AAW from Spain operated by Jose EA1CUB,
Juanjo EA1WX, Javier EC1KV, Daniel EB1LA, Juan EA1AUM, and Jose EA1CS. They
are QRV on all bands from 160m-10m handing out the reference number WAP-023.
QSL cards should be sent to EA1GHT, via bureau, direct or via LoTW.
Another special event station will be IO5ANT from Italy (WAP-210).
The station is situated in the "Museo Nazionale Dell Antartide" in Siena.

VK4LDX/P HORN ISLAND (UPDATE) -
Craig, VK4LDX, will be active as homecall/p from Horn Island (IOTA OC-138)
in the Torres Strait Islands, on 10-14th of March 2011. He plans to operate
18 hours per day. Craig will arrive on the island in the morning and will be
QRV as VK4LDX/P from around 0800 UTC on the 10th using a 40m dipole,
Butternut HF9V vertical and Spiderbeam 10-15-20 tribander. Operation will be
on SSB, PSK31 and RTTY (I don't do CW) on 10, 15, 20 and 40m. This IOTA has
only been claimed by 19.5% of participants, it was last activated in 2007
for 2 days and prior to that for two days in 2002. QSL via home call, direct
or bureau. Craig does not use eQSL or LoTW. More details will be provided
