ZP4KFX on 6m EME ** It is with great pleasure that I welcome Pino,
ZP4KFX to the EME community! He made the first ever 6m EME contact
from ZP this afternoon when we completed a contact during his
moonset. Pino is running around 800w from a Harris Channel 2 TV
amplifier module to a homebrew 10 element YU7EF yagi. He is
horizon-only and has great ground gain. I first copied calls from
him when his moon was up around 30 degrees, and then I copied him
again around 25 degrees elevation and we completed around at around
19 degrees. [MMMonVHF]

National Amateur Radio Society for Egypt: The Egyptian Radio Amateurs
Society for Development, ERASD, has been set up as the new national
official representative body for radio amateurs in Egypt. According
to the IARU Region 1 website, even though amateur radio has been
present in Egypt since the early 1920s, there was no officially
recognised society to represent radio amateurs in that nation. More
information about it is online at: www.qsl.net/eara/ [GB2RS] *******************************************
