23/09/2010: Jim, WW3S and Ray, ND8L will be active from the QTH of VP9GE
in Hamilton Parish, Bermuda (NA-005, WLOTA 0201) as VP9/homecall on 23-27
September 2010. They will also participate in the CQWW DX RTTY Contest as

24/09/2010: John 9M6XRO, Steve 9M6DXX, Chung 9W6AMC, Lee 9W6LEE and Gordon
G3USR plan to activate Pulau Sebatik [Sebatik Island] (OC-295) on 24-27
September, 2010. They will operate as 9M6XRO/p, 9M6DXX/p and 9M6/G3USR. The
operation will take place from the SMK Wallace Bay school, on the
north-west coast of the island. The group will have two stations: a Yaesu
FT-2000 with Tokyo Hy-Power HL-1.2Kfx linear amplifier, and a Yaesu FT-920
with Icom IC-2KL linear amplifier. Antennas will include a HexBeam and a
Butternut HF6V vertical, both sited on a 100m long jetty built over the sea
and with an almost perfect take-off towards Europe, North America and

27/09/2010: Lance, W7GJ is planning a 6m EME DXpedition to Fiji between 27
September and 7 October 2010. This time period spans the optimum days of
the month for 6m EME. Callsign TBA. QTH will be Sara Harvey's "Seqa Na
Leqa" small resort on the nothernmost point of Viti Levu Island (OC-016,
WLOTA L-0055, WW Loc. RH92CQ), Fiji. JT65A mode will be used for all 6m EME

30/09/2010: Bob, AC7GP will be active as Z2/AC7GP between 30 September and
1 November 2010, while visiting his son in Harare, Zimbabwe. Activity will
take place mainly between Monday through Friday. Operations will be on SSB,
RTTY and PSK31, using 100 watts into simple dipole antennas. Bob does plan

LOOKING AHEAD -
07/10/2010: From 7-22 October 2010 is planned IOTA expedition
V73RRC-V73QQ. A member of the Russian Robinson club, Yuri Sushkin N3QQ
flies to the capital of the Republic of the Marshall Islands - Majuro,
further to Enewetak Atoll (OC-087), where possible airing callsign V73QQ.
The main goal of the expedition - the uninhabited Ujelang Atoll (NEW ONE
OC-278), scheduled for 15-16 October, and stay on the island and work in
the air V73RRC expected within 2-3 days. Achieving and activation NEW ONE
is not guaranteed because of the weather (now the rainy season) so there
may be delays in the transfer between the atolls. Equipment - Benzoagregat
HONDA EU-1000 and the antenna is delivered by mail, with a Transceiver
IC-7600, ALS-600 amplifier, additional wire antenna for 20/30/40 metres. If

08/10/2010: Jeff K8ND and Bill W9VA, will be on a ham vacation to the
Signal Point contest station on the island of Curacao (SA-006, WLOTA 0942,

25/09/2010: GB50BR will be on the air on 25-26th September to celebrate
the 50th anniversary of the formation of the Bluebell Railway which is the

ARRL Awards Committee Statement on Dissolution of the Netherlands
Antillies:
To clarify the administrative process by which the anticipated changes to
the two existing Netherlands Antilles DXCC entities will be made, the ARRL
Awards Committee has determined that at 0400Z (12:00 AM local time in the
islands) on 10 October 2010, the two Netherland Antilles DXCC entities will
be deleted.
Commencing at 0400Z (12:00 AM local time) on 10 October, 2010, operation
from the islands of Curacao, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Saba, and St Eustatius
will count for a yet-to-be-determined number of new entities under the DXCC
List Criteria, and Political Entities, Rule 1 and/or Rule 2 Geographic
Separation Entities. When the Awards Committee determines what Rule 1 or
Rule 2 actions apply, it will announce the final disposition of the
entities on the DXCC list.
The DXCC desk will not accept confirmations for these new entities until
after 1 January, 2011.

The Radio Club D’Haiti will remember the many that lost their lives or were
injured last year with an Amateur Radio Special Event Station.
Frequency and times will be announced on 14.300 MHz (Intercon and Maritime
Mobile Net Frequency) in recognition of the assistance the nets provided
for months following the massive earthquake of 12 January 2010.
We will operate from several sites at various times on numerous
frequencies.
