Sal Island (WLOTA LH-0610) between July 1-13th. Activity will
be on all HF bands. QSL via his home callsign, direct or by
the Bureau.
AS-125. Members from the Radio Amateur Society of Thailand are now
active as E20AS from Chang Island (Ko Chang in Thai) in the
Gulf of Thailand, for a mini DXpedition until April 16th.
They will have 2 element beams for both 20 and 15 meters
and a multi-band vertical for the other bands.
Their operation
site is on the north end of the Island and should give them a
fairly decent path to EU and NA when the bands are open. Their
vertical antenna will be near the water and that should help
their signals.
Planned modes are CW and SSB.
Operators mentioned
include: John/W2YR(HS0ZDJ), Sam/SM3DYU(HS0ZDY), Winit/HS1CKC,
Cy/HS0GBI and Swen/DB3KT(HS0ZFZ). QSL via HS1CKC

NA-182. (Update) John, VE8EV, is expected to be active from Greens
Island in the Northwest Territories (NWT) in the Inuvik Region
East Group between April 15-20th. Remember, he will be using
a very rare prefix and will sign CK8G. On his blog page he
states, "Despite the big geomagnetic storm this past week,
the forecast for the duration of the operation is for quiet
conditions.
The operating schedule will be Asia from 0000-
0400z, Europe from 0400-0700z and 1400-1700z, North America
from 1800-2300z. That's generally where I'll have the antenna
pointed but will still happily take callers from anyone that
is hearing me. I'll be operating almost exclusively 20m SSB,
but I will bring a 40m dipole antenna as a backup.
My plane
doesn't land in Paulatuk until 4:00 pm on Wednesday, so I
probably won't be on the air until late that evening (early
morning 15th April UTC). I'll be using my satellite phone to
post status updates during the trip, so watch this space for
the latest information."
