8Q, MALDIVES. Juergen, OE4JHW, reports that he will do a suitcase DX-
pedition to Kuredu Island between September 2-4th. More details will be
forthcoming soon.

A5, BHUTAN. The members of the FGC DX Group (Foundation for Global
Children) will continue to be active as A5A from a mountain area in
Bhutan until June 6th. The ClubLog shows as of 0851z, June 3rd, the
A5A team has made 28113 QSOs with 12290 unique callsigns (14883/CW and
13280/SSB). Breakdown is: 187/AF, 5147/AS, 18093/EU, 4327/NA, 163/OC
and 196/SA. QSL A5A via JH1AJT (see Web page for details). For more

A6, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. Ulli, DL9WVM, will once again be active as
A6/DL9WVM from Dubai between June 10-30th. Activity will be on 80-10
meters. He informs OPDX that any SKED requests can be arranged via SKYPE
(account 'dl9wvm'). Ulli states that he is working remotely from Dubai
for his company in Berlin and sits the whole day 'beside' his equipment.
QSL via LoTW, or via his home callsign, direct or by the Bureau. Meanwhile,
Ulli mentions that his friend Tom/DL2RMC  is also active from Abu Dhabi
which started around May 29th, and he will be there for 3 weeks depending
on his job in UAE. Callsign is A6/DL2RMC and his license has already been
issued.

CONTEST CHART CORRECTION. Please note that in OPDX. 1063 the "NG3K CQWW
WPX CW Contest chart" listed VK9PN as Norfolk Island. This is incorrect
and should be Lowe Island.

CS, PORTUGAL. Members of the Amateur Radio Association of the District
of Leiria (ARAL) will activate CS5FAT from its facilities in the Cova da
Iria at the Shrine of Fatima between June 10-13th. Activity will be on
the HF, VHF and UHF bands. QSL via CT6ARL, direct or by the Bureau.
Amateur radio operators are invited to operate from the Shrine of Fatima
between now and October on the dates 10, 11, 12 and 13 of every month or
such other dates of amateur radio convenience by appointment. For more
details, see QRZ.com or the Blog page:    http://cs5fat.blogspot.pt

CY9, ST. PAUL ISLAND (Press Release #2). On May 25th, the CY9M team
reports: "Time is flying! Two months today the CY9M team will be making
their way to Sydney, Nova Scotia, then onwards to the northernmost tip
of Cape Breton, ready to depart for St Paul island on July 26th.
Much has happened since the first press release in February. Those who
keep an eye on the CY9M Web site will note major organizations such as
Northern California DX Foundation <http://www.ncdxf.org> and ARRL Colvin
Award <http://www.ncdxf.org> have agreed to financially back our plans.
Together, with all other kind donors and clubs, we thank them sincerely.
The team makes special mention to Al, VE1AL, for his local logistical
help. His ongoing assistance is much appreciated.
Meanwhile, the last few weeks has seen a host of sponsors commit to
the expedition.
Elecraft, main equipment sponsor of our expedition, is providing six
K3 transceivers. We are indebted to Elecraft for their support.
DX Engineering, Tigertronics, Waters & Stanton, Heil Sound, Spiderbeam,
RF Power and Vibroplex have shown faith in our activation by generously
supporting too.
G3TXQ Broadband Hexbeam by MW0JZE is providing the team with three
antennas. Using both Hexbeams and vertical arrays, we hope to be heard
from the island! M2 Antenna Systems are also contributing with a 50 MHz
yagi/beam – we know how wanted St Paul island is on 6m and cross fingers
for good openings.
As mentioned previously, there are few landing spots on the island.
Actual station location will be determined where we land. From planning
discussions, we know each proposed location has positives and negatives
to certain regions around the globe – therefore this is very much an
"on the day" set-up at any given landing spot.
  Now the shipping process begins.
If you would like to donate any amount to the CY9M St Paul Island
Dxpedition, please click here:    http://www.cy9m.com/donor
Feel free to follow us on Twitter <https://twitter.com/#!/CY9M> and
Facebook <http://www.facebook.com/CY9M.2012> - nearer the time of departure
(and afterwards) various team members will update as we journey.
Thanks for taking the time to read and share – we look forward to working
you from DXCC Most Wanted entity #40.
73, CY9M Team, St Paul Island DXpedition."

CY0, SABLE ISLAND (QRT). Alan, VE1AWW, reported on May 28th: "Very bad
news. Sable Island is a Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Yesterday, a migratory
bird (and protected species) was found near my towers with injuries
suggesting a collision with one of the towers. I am required to take
down the towers until an investigation and policy can be developed for
tern season (April-August). Very disappointing for sure. CY0/VE1AWW
QRT . . . ."

DXER ARRESTED ON ESPIONAGE! Several sources are reporting that well-known
DXer/World-Traveller Baldur, DJ6SI, who has been active from all over the
world from 70 countries, was arrested on the Island of Kos while operating

pretty upset and embarrassed over this event. It is also reported that
Baldur is back in Germany, but is scheduled to return for a trial day.
