Egyptian Radio Amateurs Society for Development (ERASD) ------------------------------------------------------- Egypt announces the establishment of "The Egyptian Radio Amateurs Society for Development" (short ERASD), the national official representative body for radio amateurs in Egypt. Despite the fact that amateur radio has been present in Egypt since the early twenties of the last century, there was no officially recognized society to represent radio amateurs in Egypt for nearly the past eight decades.
