Peri,SV5/HB9IQB, is staying on Rhodos (EU-001) from Aug 23-28 and
plans to work in CW mainly on the WARC bands. QSLs via

SV9/SV1ELF is working from Crete (EU-015, GIOTA KRS-005, MIA
MGC-005, WLOTA LH 1400) from Aug 21-28. QSLs via bureau to his
homecall or LoTW. XV - VIETNAM Stefan
(Sten),DL1ATR, writes that his license has not been issued yet.
Right now he is working as a guest op at XV2A which is the call of the
president of the Vietnamese radio club. Stefan is active in
CW on 18080 kHz every day starting around 0745 UTC. In the
moment he is only able to copy stations from BY, USA and VK.
He cannot hear any European station in the noise. His flight
back is scheduled for mid September. Vietnamese licenses have
to be paid for every single band. YJ - VANUATU, OC-035
Chris,VK3QB, Allan,VK2CA, Luke,VK2HJ, & Brenton,VK3CBV, in
co-operation with the ODXG (Oceania Amateur Radio DX Group
Inc) will show up from Efate Island (OC-035) signing YJ0VK
between Aug 27 and Sep 2. They will operate two stations
simultaneously on 160m-10m running 100 watts with verticals
and wires. Special emphasis will be put on the WARC bands.
Following operating frequencies were announced: CW: 1820,
3511, 7011, 10107, 14011, 18077, 21011, 24897, 28011 kHz SSB:
1860, 3611/3791, 7170, 14170, 18118, 21270, 24935, 28470 kHz
RTTY: the usual DX frequencies. They listen 1-3 kHz up in CW
and digital modes and 5 kHz up in SSB. QSLs via bureau or

upload their logs as well. 3B8 - MAURITIUS, AF-049
/ 3B9 - RODRIGUES ISLAND, AF-017 OM Giorgio,IZ4AKS, will stay
on Rodrigues Island (AF-017) between Aug 28 and Sep 4. He is
going to hit the airwaves as 3B9/IZ4AKS mostly in SSB on
10m-40m but also in CW and RTTY QRV. Giorgio will work in
"holiday style" using a FT-897D with 100 watts and a vertical. Giorgio
also plans an activity as 3B8/IZ4AKS from Mauritius (AF-049)
before and after this time. QSL via homecall, unfortunately
only direct. 3D2, FIJI, OC-016 Once again
Franz,DK1II, is active as 3D2II from Viti Levu (OC-016)
between Aug 22 and Sep 10. His QTH will be Lautoka on the main island
where he helps to build so-called Rotahomes for a social project
of the local Rotary club. Franz is working mainly in CW on
10m-40m using a K3 and a 12m DX-Wire pole. QSL via bureau or
direct to DK1II or LoTW. ITALY, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The Italian submarine "Leonardo da Vinci" is formally taken out of
service and the special event station II1IALV will be QRV in La

EA will activate several special event stations during the
75th bicycle race La Vuelta a Espana from Aug 27 till Sep 20
