I, ITALY
 To remember its founding 55 years ago the ARI Vigevano is going to
 activate the special event station IR2LV between Aug 27 and Oct 2.

 The special event station II4LXV celebrates the 65th anniversary of the
 ARI Bologna until Dec 31.

KH6, HAWAII, OC-019
 Five HAMs of the Koolau Amateur Radio Club will activate the rare
 county Kalawao from the Kalaupapa peninsula on Molokai Island. The team
 will be QRV with two stations in SSB, CW and some RTTY on 10m-40m from
 Aug 25-29. They will take part in the Hawaii QSO Party as well but plan
 to work especially on the WARC bands before and after the contest.
 Their callsign will be KH7Q. Send your QSLs via AH6NF or follow the

 After their successful DXpedition to Jersey the "Low Land DXpedition
 Team" (LLDXT) members Jo,LX/PA9JO, Alex,LX/PA1AW, Ronald,LX/PA3EWP, and
 Dennis,LX/PA7FM, are planning a trip to Luxembourg next. They will use
 several yagis and monoband antennas on 160m-2m from Aug 30 until Sep 6.

 This DXpedition is supported by CQFRIENDS.com, the new internet commu-

OJ0, MARKET REEF, EU-053
 PA0VHA, PA2A, PA2AM, PA3ALK and PA3BAG will be QRV in SSB/CW/RTTY/PSK
 on all bands (incl. 4m/6m) signing OJ0CC from Market Reef (EU-053)
 between Aug 27 and Sep 2. QSL via PA2A.

P2, PAPUA NEW GUINEA, OC-034
 Renzo,I2KRR, who is a voluntary worker for the technical support of a
 catholic mission in Vanimo on the northern coast of the main island,
 will be active as P29FR mainly in SSB on 40m/20m/15m until March 2012.
 Operation will be limited to the local evening hours plus the weekend

PA, THE NETHERLANDS
 PA3EJE, PA3GON, PA8F, PD0LUR, PD2JAM, PD5EK and PE1MPA will be QRV as
 PG6MILL from "De Valk" in Montfoort between Sep 30 and Oct 1. They plan
 to work in all modes on 80m-10m using also a large Quad antenna mounted
 to a windmill. QSL via PE1MPA.

PJ2, CURACAO, SA-099
 PJ2/DH2AK and PJ2/DL1THM are staying on Curacao (SA-099) from Aug 21
 until Sep 8. QSLs via homecalls.

UJ, UZBEKISTAN
 The special event station UM20Y is celebrating the 20th anniversary of
 the independence of Uzbekistan in CW, SSB and RTTY on the HF bands from
 Aug 25 until Sep 10. QSL via UK8AR.

UR, UKRAINE
 Ukrainian HAMs are also celebrating the 20th anniversary of the inde-
 pendence of their country and activate the special event station EO20UR
 from the capital Kiev and other regions (QRZ.com) from Aug 22-28.

YA, AFGHANISTAN
 IZ8NWA is active as T6FR until November 2011. QSL via homecall.

ZD8, ASCENSION ISLAND, AF-003
 You can request bureau and direct QSL cards for the ZD8D DXpedition via

CQ DX MARATHON
--------------
The CQ magazine introduced a new special contest: the CQ DX Marathon.
You have to work as many DXCCs and CQ zones as possible, regardless of bands
and modes, every year. The marathon starts all over every year on January 1.
It is not possible to earn more than 381 points (at the moment).

OPs NEEDED
----------
II9T is still looking for some OPs (SOP 20m/SOP 80m) for the CQ Worldwide DX

INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE: Morse Code
----------------------------------------
The IARU Region 1 Conference in Sun City decided unanimously and without
abstention that the UNESCO should recognize CW as an Intangible Cultural
Heritage.
