The prefix 9A was allocated to Croatia 20 years ago. All private and
clubstations may add the number "20" to their callsign to celebrate
this jubilee from Jan 1 until Dec 31 (e.g. 9A0Zš200Z, 9A1MMš20

9A2AAš202AA). There is also a special award "20 years 9A prefix".

The DXpedition announced in the last DXNL has been postponed due to
weather problems.
DL, GERMANY
The city of Bad Honnef celebretes 150 years of city rights in 2012.
The special event station DL150BH will be QRV in all modes on all bands
from Jan 1 until Dec 31. The special DOK BAHO150 is handed out also by
the clubstation DL0AD. QSLs via bureau.
DU, PHILIPPINES
The Philippine Amateur Radio League (PARL) is celebrating its 50 years
anniversary and will activate the special event station 4G0LD in 2012.
There is a commemorative diploma at least 12 QSOs with PARL members.

The advance team for the upcoming DXpedition is formed by HK1N, HK1T,
HK6F and HK1MW, also called "Fantastic Four". They are setting up
11 stations and 18 antennas in two different camps. Donations welcome.

J7, DOMINICA NA-101
Mike,VE2XB, is working holiday style as J79XB from Dominica (NA-101)
on 160m-10m and maybe also on 6m from Jan 5-26. His equipment includes
TS-590s, Elecraft K3/100, Icom IC2-KL and Tokyo High Power HL-550. He
is using a windom for 30m/40m/75m/160m, a 2el Moxon for 40m and maybe
also a Hexbeam for the WARC bands and 6m but his main antenna is a
Mosley TA-33SR WARC on a 12m mast. QSL via VE2XB.

KH0, MARIANA ISLANDS, OC-086
Buchi,JO3FRH (KH0UY), and Masa,JE4SMQ (KH0K), are going to visit
Saipan (OC-086, USi NI002S, WLOTA 1333, Loc QK25uf) from Jan 7-10.
They will be active on 80m-6m and via satellites. QSLs via homecalls.
PJ2, CURACAO, SA-099
Ron,N6EE, and Chet,W6XK, are members of the "NN6NN RTTY Team" and will
sign PJ2N from Signal Point Station (PJ2T) on Curacao (SA-099, LH-0942)
during the ARRL RTTY Round-Up on Jan 7/8.
They are holding the world record since their VP5NN operation in 2003.
The are signing PJ2/N6EE and PJ2/W6XK before and after the contest.

PJ4, BONAIRE, SA-006
Peter,PA8A, will be QRV as PJ4B working holiday style from Jan 8-22.

Jamie,VP9/WW3S, will be active from Bermuda (NA-005) from Jan 5-10.
He also plans to take part in the ARRL RTTY Round-Up as well.

XU, CAMBODIA
Alex,XU7YAB (UA9YAB), and Alex, XU7YPS (UA9YPS), are working from
Cambodia from Jan 3-6. They are also planning a side-trip to AS-133.

ANTARCTICA
Mika,OH2FFP, is going to hit the airwaves from several Antarctic bases
between mid January and mid February. He plans to show up on the bands
as OH2FFP/p from the Nordenskiold Multinational Camp,
as OJ1ABOA from the Finnish base "Aboa" and
as SM/OH2FFP from the Shwedish base "Wasa".

ARRL DIAMOND DXCC CHALLENGE
The ARRL celebrates the 75th jubilee of the DXCC award by issuing the
special "Diamond DXCC Challenge Award" based on the DXCC countries list
of 1937 with 231 DXCC entities. QSLs are not needed, the ARRL trusts

QRT: Craig,A35CT, has returned to the USA. Paul,A35A (A35RK), has shut down
his station as well and is going to leave Tonga on Jan 16. If you still

Reorganization:
After four years of cooperation Vertex Standard Co. Ltd. transfers the
division Land Mobile Radio (LMR) to Motorola and they return to the old

NA-168, W5, Louisiana State South East group: The "Baton Rouge Amateur
Radio club" and the "Red Stick DX Association" intend to activate
Grand Island (USi LA003S) from Jan 6-8. The OPs W5XU, N5IB, K5DF,
K5DFD, W5AJD and AD5VC will use the call W5GIX in SSB, CW and PSK-31
on 80m-10m and maybe also on 6m. QSL via W5GIX (bureau/direct).
NA-240 (NEW IOTA), KL7, Bethel County group: Members of the Russian Robinson
Club (RRC) are assisted by the Bethel Amateur Radio Club (BARK) when
activating the last new IOTA group of Alaska. Depending on the weather
and transportation they plan to show up as KL7RRC/p from Jan 5-8. They
are also supporting the begin of the RSGB IOTA Marathon with this
winter time activity. The team includes Yuri,N3QQ, and Tim,NL8F.

on Jan 7/8. They will use wire antennas for the single bands. A more
