Marty, W4MY and Paul, AA4XX will be activating Accomack
county for
the Virginia QSO Party from Tangier island (IOTA NA-083, USi
VA001S,
WLOTA LH-3049, WW Loc. FM27AT) on 20-21st March, 2010. They will
be
using a multiband vertical as well as our NVIS antenna for Virginia,
so
they expect to work and will be available for the openings on 15m and
20m

from 21st March to 4th April, 2010. QRV mostly in CW and maybe
some
RTTY and PSK31, with vertical antenna and IC-7000 (100W only).
Depending
on conditions, he will be mostly on 40-12m but also try some
80m.
Bodo cannot be QRV all day long on the HF bands since he will be
operating

activating Bere Island (IOTA EU-121,

new Irish callsign. This solo expedition
is planned from 21st-29th

21-25th March 2010. Activity will be on all the HF

21/03/2010: Operators Gav GM0GAV and Rob
GM3YTS will be active as S79GM
between 21st March and 1st April 2010
from Mahé Island (IOTA AF-024),
Seychelle Islands. QRV on all bands
with an emphasis on the lower bands.
Operations will be mainly CW
with a possibility of some RTTY. Equipment:
Elecraft K3 + K2, THP
HL1.1Kfx amplifier and Verticals near the sea.
They have tried to
gain access to 7000-7050 kHz without any success, so
look for them on
7050 or above and listening around 7025 kHz. They do
have full
access to 80m. There is a S79GM blog and the operators plan to
update

the Northwest Haiti Christian Mission

Cezar (VE3LYC) will attempt to activate East Pen Island
(NA-231, new
one) for three days between 26th and 31st March, 2010.
Intended
callsign will be VY0V, which will be applied for in due course.
Cezar
reminds everyone that an earlier try he undertook with G3OCA in
July
2007 was unsuccessful. The outcome of this new attempt will be
determined
by local conditions, weather and safety factors. At this
time, Cezar
is looking for group and individual donors who understand
and
appreciate the nature of this difficult project and are willing to

Aira-city (JCC #

planned merger of municipalities will be
implemented in March 2010. The
