JN72AK) also Chiesa S.Maria del Lago (DAI AZ-0093) located in the Comune di Moscufo [PE] (DMI 4527). They plan to operate from 0630 UTC till 1100 UTC on on 40, 20 and up to 6 metre SSB only. 04/08/2012: Vincent, F4BKV/p and Gil, F4FET/p will be active from Ile d'Er (EU-107, DIFM MA-013) on 4-5 August 2012, then from Ile Raguenes (EU-074, DIFM MA-047) on 6 August, and finally from Ile de Batz (EU-105, DIFM MA-018, WLOTA 0680) on 7-8 August. They will use their our own callsigns therefore it is not necessary to contact each of them on the same band. A single QSL per IOTA with both callsigns will be used. Each station will have about 300w output and antennas for 40/20/17/15/10m, powered by Honda 2kw generator. Even if not the best period for DX, they will try to focus outside EU as much as possible. 04/08/2012: Bill, K9HZ, will once again be active as J68HZ from his villa at Labrelotte Bay, Castries, island of St. Lucia (NA-108, WLOTA 1336, WW Loc. FK94MB) from 4-19th August 2012. 04/08/2012: Members of the Old Barney ARC (www.obarc.org/) will be operating as N2OB from "Old Barney", the Barnegat Lighthouse (Admiralty J1220, ARLHS USA-039, WW Loc. FM29WS) on Long Beach Island (NA-111, USi NJ001S), Ocean county, New Jersey, on 4 August 2012 (rain date 5 August) from about 1300 UTC to 2100 UTC. Expect main activity on 40 and 20 metre SSB. 08/08/2012: John, 9M6XRO and Steve, 9M6DXX will be operating as 9M4SLL from Pulau Layang Layang, Spratly Islands (AS-051) on 7-13 August 2012. Activity will be on 80-10 metre CW, SSB and RTTY, using two stations with linear amplifiers to vertical antennas on the edge of the ocean. 08/08/2012: Giacomo "Jack", IZ3DBA, will be active from the island of Corsica (EU-014, DIFM TK-001, MIA MCO-001, WLOTA 1390) as TK0/IZ3DBA from 8-16th August 2012. Jack thinks he will operate from Corsica for 2 weeks, but for necessity it is possible that he will return home to Sardinia for the last week of his holiday. 10/08/2012: Mike, VE2XB, plans activity from St. Pierre & Miquelon (NA-032, DIFO FP-002, WLOTA 1417, Grid Loc. GN17) as FP/VE2XB between 10th and 20th August 2012. Mike will make a special effort to give first time CW DX QSOs to Novices and newcomers, so listen on or near 7.115 MHz on 40m in the evenings. 13/08/2012: A group of veterans led by Lion, VU2JHM, will be on the air from Minicoy island (AS-106), Union Territory of Lakshadweep, with the callsign VU7M from 13-22 August 2012. They will also be activating the Minicoy lighthouse (ARLHS LAK-009, WLOTA 2958, WW Loc. MJ68MG) for the ARLHS ILLW (17-18 August). This activity also counts for the Lakshadweep Marine Biosphere Reserve (WFF VUFF-103). Team members include Laxman VU2LX, Arasu VU2UR, Kanti VU2GSM, Ramesh VU2LU and Govind VU2GGM. Basic equipment only. No computers, No linear amplifiers, No Beam antenna, no Sponsorship. All the expenses are borne by the individuals themselves. 16/08/2012: A YL DXpedition to Fair Isle (IOSA SH-09, WLOTA 1319), Shetland & Fair Isle (EU-012), using the call sign GB2YLS will take place between 16-22 August, 2012. Their main goal will be the 2012 Intenational Lighthouse Lightship Weekend (18-19 August - see: illw.net/) when they will activate the Fair Isle South (Skaddan) lighthouse (ILLW UK0127, ARLHS SCO-079, BARLS A3750, TWLHD WLH GM-028, Loc IO99EM, WAB NZ16). 18/08/2012: The Puerto Rico Amateur Radio League, KP4ES, will be doing a multi-island activation in the vicinity of Vieques, Puerto Rico, on 18-19th August 2012. Plans are to activate and qualify the following Puerto Rico islands: Cayo Afuera/Cayo Real (USi PR047), Vieques county; Cayo de Tierra (USi PR048) Vieques county; and Isleta Marina (USi PR049), Fajardo county. 18/08/2012: Mike, VK7FB and Anne, VK7BYL will be active on 18-25th August 2012, including an entry in the 2012 International Lighthouse/Lightship Weekend (18-19 August), as VK7FB from the Tasman island lighthouse (ILLW AU0101, ARLHS AUS-160, TWLHD WLH VK-063, WLOTA 0288, Admiralty K3614) and weather station, located on Tasman island (OC-233). Tasman island is also located within the Tasman National Park (WFF VKFF-481). Mike and Anne were light keepers on Tasman in 1969 and will be returning for the ILLW. 28/08/2012: On 30 August the Netherlands will celbrate the official return of the Dutch astronaut André Kuipers. During his long stay at the International Space Station he was also active by the callsign PI9ISS. The station will be active from 28 August until 2 September 2012 from the Noordwijk Lighthouse (Netherlands 1324, Admiralty B0760, ARLHS NET-019), also the location of PG6N. During the welcome party on 30 August PA6ISS will be active for the public at a exhibition. We hope that PI9ISS will join for a moment the station too. 11/10/2012: A small group of operators will be active as MX0LDG from Lundy Island (EU-120, WFF GFF-103, WAB SS14, WW Loc. IO71QD), in the Bristol Channel, Devon, England, from 11-16 October 2012. They will have 2 stations on the air between 0600z-0000z each day as the islands power closes down at midnight. They will also activate the Lundy Island Old Devon Lighthouse (ARLHS ENG-073, BARLS A 5617X, TWLHD WLH G-015, WLOTA 1997). Team members include John M5JON, Peter M0ILT, Ant MW0JZE and Chris G1VDP. 18/10/2012: Aki-san, JA1NLX, will be signing JA1NLX/VK4 between 18-23 October 2012 from Hamilton island (OC-160), the largest inhabited island of the Whitsunday islands archipelago, Queensland, Australia. Plans are to be QRV on, or near, the IOTA frequencies on each band, CW and SSB, from 40-10 metres. He will use a random wire wounded on fishing pole and radials with ATU, mounted on the room balcony. 20/10/2012: The Pine Valley Repeater ARC of Richland Center, WI, assisted by the Viroqua, WI ARC, will operate as W9PVR during the 2012 W/VE QSO Party (20-21 October). Plans are to activate and qualify Coumbe island (USi WI049), in the Wisconsin river, Crawford county, Wisconsin. They will operate SSB, CW, and PSK31 on 80m, 40m and 20m. QSL via W9PVR (QRZ.com). 10/11/2012: The Araucaria DX Group, in conjunction with the TX3A Team, is pleased to announce a DXpedition to St. Peter and St. Paul Rocks (SA-014, DIB OC-03, WFF PYFF-064, WLOTA 0003, Grid Loc. HJ50), Pernambuco State, Brazil, under the call sign PT0S. The PT0S DXpedition will be on the air from approximately 10-22 November 2012, located near the scientific research station on Belmonte islet. Like all things maritime, the exact dates of our travel to the rocks will be subject to the weather and issues related to the boat. The operation will have a strong low band focus. There will be a dedicated 160 metre station operating from sunset to sunrise. A second station will be on 80 and 40 metres at night. During the day they will operate two stations on the higher bands -- and 6 metres -- based on conditions. RTTY will also be supported. The group will be using newly designed RX antennas and receiving equipment to allow small and QRP stations to work PT0S on all bands, but especially on 80 and 160 metres. Operators will be Fred PY2XB (PY2XB/PY0F, PQ0F, VP5/PY2XB, 8P9XB), Peter PP5XX/PY5CC (PY0FM, PW0T, HK0NA), Tomi HA7RY and George AA7JV.
