IOTA Updates -
With the publication this month of the new IOTA Directory a number of rule
changes have come into force including the raising of the minimum QSO threshold
from 200 to 1000 QSOs for first-time activated new IOTA groups and amendment of
the handling of islands previously deleted following a deletion of a DXCC
entity, allowing acceptance of old Penguin Islands and Red Sea Islands QSOs for
AF-070 and AS-009 respectively. A note of the main changes has been uploaded to
G3KMA’s website at: www.g3kma.dsl.pipex.com
The following operations in April 2011 have provided acceptable validation
and are therefore approved for IOTA credit: EG5CI (EU-069), K6VVA/6 (NA-184),
P29VCX (OC-101), P29VLR (OC-231) and P29NI (OC-257).
