"Islands, Castles & Portable Operations" Listing is by calendar date (day/month/year) ============================================ 22/10/2010: Club members of the Russian Community of Azerbaijan will activate their callsign, 4J6RO, on 22-25 October 2010 from Russkie Borisi village, Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast, in the Geranboy district (AzeDA index - GR, QRA Locator - LN30FL). QRV on 40 and 20 metres, as well as 30/17/12 metres, using CW and SSB. Operators mentioned are: Boris 4K4K (Team/Club Leader), Alex 4J7WMF, Serge 4J5A and Igor 4K6OF. QSL via 4K4K. PLEASE NOTE: This is the only legal callsign permitted by the Ministry of Communications of Azerbaijan for this territory. 22/10/2010: Dale, N3BNA, will be active again as CX/N3BNA between 22nd October and 13th November 2010. He plans to be QRV on 60 metres this trip using a sloping dipole off a tall tower. He may also try a half-square wave antenna for more gain. QSL via KA2AEV. [OPDX Bulletin]
22/10/2010: Jim, KB3QLK (W/VE Island QSO party Island Rover) will be active 22 October (NON CONTEST) from St. Pierre Island (USi MD034, Somerset County), Maryland. On 23 October, starting 1600z, he will once again activate St. Pierre Island (USi MD034), followed by Little Deal Island (USi MD034, Washington County) and possibly Deal Island (USi MD014S, Somerset County), Maryland. He will operate CW and SSB (including activity during the CQ WW DX Contest) during his evening/night hours using the equipment at the Palau Pacific Resort complemented with new verticals he will uild, "since the hotel only has low dipoles for 80m and 160m". 26/10/2010: The group of Martti OH2BH, Pertti OH2PM, Veijo OH6KN, Antti OH7EA and Juha OH8NC will escape the Nordic ice and snow to provide you with a 5R8 on low bands and a zone 39 multiplier. Their destination will be Antananarivo, the Republic of Madagascar (IOTA AF-013, WLOTA 2455), and the callsign 5R8X will hit the bands from 26 October to 10 November 2010, including the CQWW SSB Contest. OH2PM and OH6KN will dedicate their efforts to 160m and 80m. This activity is primarily targeted to satisfy global demand on the low bands. The team will be using a large field and a setup of vertical antennas on all low bands. WARC activity will also be provided. 22/02/2011: Jim, G3RTE and Phil, G3SWH will be QRV on all bands 80 to 10 metres as VK9C/G6AY from the Cocos Island Motel on West Island in the Cocos-Keeling Islands (IOTA OC-003) between 22nd February and 5th March 2011. QRV on all bands 80-10 meters, CW only. There will be no 160, 6 metres or EME activity. Propagation permitting, they plan to have two stations on the air for as many hours every day as is possible. Their main objective is to work as many European, North American and ROTW stations on as many different bands as possible and plan to make at least 15,000 QSOs. 23/10/2010: Team Thunderbox will be setting up a 'Octoberfest' portable station again between 23rd October 2010 and 31st October 2010, using the callsign MX0TBG/p. ** F/TEP on 50 MHz ** Just a further note to say that the F/TEP continues for South EU - and for me I still RX AF TV - 5Z was in last night late on pure TEP III mode for about an hour - but nil on 50. Note, the country codes for what will be the deleted entities will not change, they will just be flagged as deleted entities.
Online, the only place where these codes are posted is in the text version of the DXCC list. Once we officially add the new entities to the DXCC software this list will then be updated to show the official changes to the DXCC list.

The ITU is a world body that provides a global structure for telecommunications, including frequency allocations to various radio services. According to the ARRL Letter, Dr. Touré's emphasis during his first term has been on internet security, wider access to broadband and strengthening the ITU's work in international emergency communications. After his re-election, Touré told the delegates at the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in Guadalajara, Mexico, that he will continue to work toward realizing his dream that every person on Earth can "connect to, use, create and share information in a safe and affordable manner."
